THIS SPREAD: The Wes Bistro & Bar reverse ombre of peach and coral tones to break what was a solid colour block of a building. This created a cornerstone of colour to which guests would gravitate.
Room Types and Public Spaces Bone Studio created three colour themes across 9 room layout types over 7 floors. The room layouts accommodate small studios as well as one and two bedroom suites. Because of the small envelope required to work within to achieve the desired number of units, fixed viewing window panes were installed in the walls between lounges and bedrooms to give a sense of connection and light. The rooms needed to have personality yet still work as functional spaces. Coffered ceilings, ornate cornicing and ceiling roses were introduced to create a sense that these rooms were always there. Modern basket weave vinyl flooring, sleek stones and woods grounded by traditional pedestal basins and brass sanware create the eclectic personality of the rooms.
