Helderberg Nature Reserve ’ s new Visitors Centre & Educational Facility is located on the slopes of the Helderberg Mountains overlooking the False Bay region . The initial design concept was fully conceived by the client , the City of Cape Town Transport and Urban Design Authority - and special mention to Ashly Hemraj for this - with the intention to advance sustainable green architecture underpinned by sound passive design principles that are resource efficient , energy efficient and environmentally responsible .
The chosen site is located opposite the existing heritage building off the existing access road leading to the main entrance connecting to Verster Avenue which forms part of the Helderberg Nature Reserve precinct .
