ROBUST SHOWER SYSTEMS FOR HIGH-USE ENVIRONMENTS
Pre-plumbed shower systems can help simplify coordination, reduce installation complexity and improve long-term maintainability across high-use environments including leisure, education and custodial facilities.
Horne’ s range of push-button timed flow control( TFC) shower panels includes models designed for group-fed installations: pre-mixed warm water is supplied from a suitably sized thermostatic mixing valve( TMV), such as the Horne 15 or Horne 20. Where layouts allow adjacent or back-to-back installations, this approach can reduce pipework complexity, minimise mixed-water deadlegs and support more efficient use of valve capacity.
Factory-assembled and pre-tested, the panels reduce onsite assembly, fittings and service penetrations compared with traditional installations. This supports improved programme certainty, while also simplifying future maintenance and component replacement.
Each panel incorporates a TFC with adjustable run duration( 45 seconds max) alongside an integral flow regulator to help reduce unnecessary water and energy consumption in high-use applications.
A fixed vandal-resistant( VR) shower head is well-suited to robust, low-maintenance installations. Fully ligature-resistant( LR) variants are available for more demanding settings, combining the VR head with a protective shroud over the push-button control. Integrated thermostatic, LR models are‘ standard spec’ within recent MoJ custodial refurbishments, where robustness and resistance to abuse and vandalism are key considerations, alongside user safety and maintainability. Optional pipe covers or rear-entry service connections can further support secure, spaceefficient installations and remove exposed pipework. Riser rail, hose and handset arrangements are also available; rail options are white / grey or deep-orange / grey( where strong visual contrast may be beneficial).
To support specification and installation planning, Horne also provides a valve sizing tool to assist Architectural Technologists and MEP designers in determining appropriate TMV capacity and optimised shower groupings for the intended application.

JUWO SMARTWALL BUILDING SYSTEMS – THIN JOINT MASONRY FOR THE FUTURE
The design of the blocks is such that they require no mortar on the interlocking vertical joints. The fired, aerated clay blocks are manufactured to a tolerance of 1mm in height and come as a complete system that includes lintels, corner and reveal blocks, insulated mortar, adhesive and applicators.
Juwo SmartWall structural blocks have been used for many years across Europe and are suitable for load bearing and non-load bearing walls, for external & internal applications. They have full approval and comply to BS EN 771-1 and carry both a UK CA & CE mark with an A1 fire rating, making them the ideal building system for low- and high-rise developments as well as for the self-builder.
• Three Systems to choose from“ S”“ MZ” &“ RX” offering Excellent Thermal Performance from 0.18 to 0.11 U value.
• No Cavities. No Additional Insulation or Wall Ties Required.
• Quick Construction time up to 4 x faster than traditional Cavity Wall Construction.
• Single solid wall construction using Modern Method of Construction.
• Thin bed mortar technology.
• Complete Building System includes Lintels and Reveal / Corner blocks.
• > 85 % less moisture in construction.
• Completely Vapour permeable.
