Creagh Concrete Products Ltd is proud to have manufactured and installed 27 bespoke curved precast concrete elements for the new Brighton College Performing Arts Centre.
Manufactured at our facility in Toomebridge, these intricate units are a testament to advanced offsite capabilities and engineering precision. Each piece measures up to 4.5 metres in width and weighs in excess of 13 tonnes, with a total of 67 unique German brick slip variations carefully integrated throughout the design.
The building’ s distinctive grey-toned façade combines brick and flint, thoughtfully selected to reflect the rich architectural heritage of the Brighton campus. Drawing inspiration from its Neo-Gothic surroundings, the cladding also offers durability against the demands of a coastal environment.
A defining feature of the project is the horizontal gradient of flint woven through the brickwork— a subtle yet striking reference to the white cliffs of the Sussex coastline, where flint naturally occurs within chalk formations.
