EDWARD STREET QUARTER

EDWARD STREET QUARTER BUILT WITH WELLBEING IN MIND

EDWARD STREET QUARTER , THE NEW NEIGHBOURHOOD COMING TO CENTRAL BRIGHTON , IS BEING BUILT WITH WELLBEING AT THE HEART OF ITS DESIGN
The largely pedestrianised development will encourage healthier , safer and more resilient communities by providing spaces to relax , to get active and to socialise .
According to mixed-use developers First Base , pairing workspaces with homes and social spaces which are flexible helps to create activity throughout the day and evening .
For example , break-out areas , green terraces and a shared community clubhouse will all provide flexible meeting and social spaces whilst the reopened Mighell Street and adjacent public courtyard will provide plenty of casual space to relax and enjoy . These spaces will have the potential to be used in the evenings or at weekends by community groups and will accommodate a variety of curated functions throughout the year , from local farmers markets and Christmas fairs to art shows and film screenings .
