THE LATEST TERRAZZO TILE
COLLECTION FROM CTD
ARCHITECTURAL CABUCHON LAUNCHES THE

CHOSEN FOR HISTORIC
LIVERPOOL BUILDING
New for 2019, CTD Architectural
Tiles introduces Venice Villa into its
growing portfolio of terrazzo-effect
tiles. Having made a major comeback
into interiors last year, terrazzo is fast
becoming one of the most popular
choices for designers and specifiers
in a wide variety of residential,
commercial and hospitality projects.
First made popular in Italy in
the 1970s, the terrazzo look
originates from using left over
marble chippings into cement as
a way to use excess product. A
reinterpretation of this famous look,
the Venice Villa collection is an
exquisite contemporary twist on the
traditional terrazzo trend, combining
the appearance of crushed marble
fragments with the excellent
properties of fully body porcelain
stoneware. British bath manufacturer Cabuchon
Bathforms has launched its new
Studio bath, the latest addition to
its range of baths which can be built
into the fabric of a bathroom. A
space-saving tub, it is designed for
modern en-suites and bathrooms
where space is at a premium.
Measuring 1522mm x 837mm (5ft
x 33”), the Studio has a noticeably
smaller footprint than conventionally
designed baths. Despite its reduced
length, the Studio is built for
comfort. This is because it takes
some of its design cues from
Cabuchon’s deep soaking tub range.
In particular, it substitutes depth
for length. At 505mm (19¾”) deep,
it enables bathers to adopt a more
upright, semi-seated posture This
alleviates strain on the shoulders
and neck, while the extra depth of
water helps to create a feeling of
weightlessness. Residents living in the recently
developed ‘Ogden’s Tobacco’
building in Everton, Merseyside are
benefitting from MVHR (Mechanical
Ventilation with Heat Recovery)
units from ventilation manufacturer
EnviroVent that provide good
indoor air quality and protect the
fabric of the building by controlling
condensation, The historic Grade II
listed building has been converted
into 19 apartments by social
housing provider Liverpool Mutual
Homes. energiSava 250 units were
installed to ensure there is a supply
of fresh, clean air and eradicate
issues with condensation and mould
growth.
