RACE INFO
YOUR TIMING CHIP
1 . This is in your Race Pack allocated to you at REGISTRATION
2 . The CHIP CODE IS NOT YOUR RACE NUMBER
3 . Attach the Timing Chip to either ankle with the Velcro supplied – if it is attached anywhere else you will not receive a result
4 . Ensure the Timing Chip has the number facing outwards ( not on the inside of your leg )
5 . Hand your Timing Chip in at the FINISH to the marshals on duty
6 . If you are swimming multiple events , you must still hand the Timing Chip back at the FINISH . You will be issued with a new one at REGISTRATION before your next event
BARCODED TAG
1 . This is in your Race Pack allocated to you at REGISTRATION
2 . The Barcode Tag is issued as part of Water Safety and Timing Back Up
3 . The number on the Barcode Tag is your PRIMARY RACE NUMBER
4 . Attach it to the inside of your swimming costume with the safety pin provided
5 . If you are swimming multiple events , you will be issued with new Timing Chips and Barcode Tags for each event but YOU RETAIN YOUR FIRST RACE NUMBER THROUGHOUT THE WEEKEND
6 . Hand your Barcode Tag in at the FINISH to the marshals on duty
LOST CHIPS WILL BE CHARGED AT R120 at the discretion of the Race Organisers
SWIMMING CAPS
1 . This is allocated to you at REGISTRATION and the colour depends on the starting batch you are allocated to according to your seeding time
2 . We will have five ( or possibly six ) starting batches within each of the eight events on the programme with each one leaving on a gun start 3 minutes apart Batch 1 : Orange Batch 2 : Light Blue Batch 3 : Yellow Batch 4 : Bright Green Batch 5 : White Batch 6 ( if required ): Magenta
3 . At the START , enter the BATCH PEN marked the same colour as your CAP COLOUR
VETERANS IN EVENTS 5 & 6
1 . Swimmers aged 31 years and over will receive a COLOURED WRISTBAND at REGISTRATION to assist you and officials exit via the correct channel at the FINISH
• Ages 31-40 years receive a pink wristband
• Ages 41-50 years receive a yellow wristband
• Ages 51 and over receive a white wristband 2 . Attach to your RIGHT WRIST
BODY MARKING
Every swimmer must have their RACE NUMBER marked on their arms and back of shoulders . Body Marking is managed by Action Photo after exiting the REGISTRATION Tent and before proceeding to your Starting Batch Pen
