Dear Members ,
Firstly , I would like to thank the Board of the AQHA for having the faith in me to elect me again into the Presidents position . I feel that over the past 12 months , we have strove to keep the membership informed of the going on within the AQHA by expanding our social media presence and this has been well accepted by the general membership . The board has been very cohesive and it has been a pleasure to work with them in getting things done for the AQHA as a whole .

I would also like to thank the other people who were nominated but were not elected . Peter Belden , a past president for many years and a board member for 20 plus years chose not to re stand and thanks to him for his help and guidance in the past to help the AQHA become one of the leading horse bodies in Australia today .
The next 12 months will again be a busy time with the new portfolio holders getting their sub committees ratified and then getting down to business and I will ensure the membership is advised of our progress moving forward .
The AGM held recently in Brisbane was a very quick meeting and this was followed by the awards dinner were members , after receiving their end of year accolades , let there hair down on the dance floor and a good night was had by all . It was an honor to have Terry O ’ Hanlon and his wife Kate attend , Terry was a past president of the AQHA so many memories were discussed at the dinner . I would like to welcome the 4 newly elected board members for the next 3 year term , Kane Skopp , Kim Johnson , Liz Keating and John Steel who was a past board member but rejoins us again .
I also would point out that all of the directors are available to the membership if you have any questions at all , you will find a list of directors along with the portfolios so you can direct your questions to the right people to get the answer you are seeking .
Christmas is not far away so no doubt you are all in the planning mode for this and if I don ’ t catch up with you before this , I wish you all the best for this and have a great new year .

This portfolio is something that I ’ m very passionate about . At this present point in time we haven ’ t had a chance to have a portfolio meeting , but we anticipate that in the next month we will have some news on up-and-coming clinics .
