Our 2024 Affinity Equine Lady Rider Award recipient is the very deserving Leah Read . Congratulations Leah you certainly are a deserving winner of this special award , special thank you goes out to Fort Worth Saddlery and Affinity Equine for sponsoring the very special prizes awarded to Leah .
The Chris Parnell Sportsmanship and Encouragement Award , recognising the great sportsmanship of a competitor that perhaps didn ’ t win anything but showed true sportsmanship towards competitors and her pony is now a perpetual award with the recipient selected by our judges . The winner of this special award this year was selected by our reining judges Jo McConnell , Darren Simpson , Susan Frost , Gary Yaghdjian & Steve Withers .
The 2023 Chris Parnell Award recipient is Tracey Charles who not only competed in the reining events , but was there as the PA to event owners throughout this massive week . Our Canadian reining judge Gary Yaghdjian spoke into why Tracey was selected and it certainly resonated the true spirt of both horsemanship and sportsmanship is a fundamental part of Tracey .

The celebration of our Champions continued with 10 big cheques presented to the deserved champions of the ARBC for 2024 . We also presented Golders Dalby sponsored Championship Jackets to our feature event champions , Australia ’ s Greatest Horseman Mark Buttsworth , Classic Challenge Daniel Lithgow , Derby Challenge Dan Steers , OPEN Challenge Nathan Wilson , OPEN Derby Lana Kelderman , Non Pro Derby Keiran Moses .
It was at the ARBC VIP dinner that event owners and creators Errol & Gita Thomas announced this being the last ARBC Show . After 10 years and 9 of these prestigious events , it was time for them and rightly so . Organising and pulling off an event of this size certainly leaves an amazing legacy across all disciplines being represented . The event model will go on under the new name of AGH Show , held around the same time of year offering the opportunity to continue the amazing comradery between reiners , challenge and cowhorse competitors .
