Our 2024 Affinity Equine Lady Rider Award is in place to recognise and encourage rural women and all that they contribute both to their families and their desire to compete . Showing great horsemanship and sportsmanship throughout the event . To recognise a lady who displays all round good horsemanship , kind hands and determination , a true inspiration and role model to all our young riders venturing into the cow work events , whether it be Camp Drafting , Cutting or Stockmans Challenges .
This lady was selected by our cattle judge Huon Smith , with it being stated “ This lady truly represents the spirit of women in our cattle events . She is quick to take on young up and coming horsemen and women to mentor them in this great sport . Always stepping up when it is time to show her horses for clients and breeders .”
