The Open Futurity saw a total of seventy, 3 year old cutting horses cut down to a total of fifteen horses for the much waited for final. Yulgilbar Quarter Horse Stud’s Yulgilbar Ima Black Cat Q-83986, a daughter of Ima Smooth Blue Cat Q-71767 and Yulgilbar Well Played Oak Q-61472, ridden by Todd Graham marked 217.5 points to earn the Reserve Championship title. Kesley Hewitt’s Hewitts Metallic Millions Q-85469, a daughter of Metallic Cat Q-72828 and Winderadeen Scotalena Q-48014, also shown by Todd Graham marked 217 points to finish third in the Open Futurity Final. The 2019 DDCC Toowoomba Futurity proved to be another outstanding show on the cutting horse event list for the year.
