I would like to start by thanking the Board for electing me as the President of AQHA . I am honoured , humbled plus very excited for the future of the Association . I am AQHA proud and intend on serving the members to the success of the Association .
By my side and supporting me in this roll is Deputy President , John Steel , and Vice President , Paul Lorimer .
We have a wonderful new Board who will contribute and advance AQHA . I would like to take this opportunity to thank Peter Bellden and the past Board , for their time and dedication . They have left a legacy and stepped down knowing the Association is in a great position .
I would like to recognise the AQHA office staff and General Manager Toni Ross . The past few months ’ facilities used in day to day operations were cut including phone lines and internet cables . The new computer system implementation has presented some anomalies , which has been challenging for the office . I ask the membership to be patient as they are doing a great job dealing with the issues faced and major member ’ s benefits are on the horizon .
The focus moving forward is on the members and breeders whilst providing the best service possible . The AQHA will recognise member ’ s achievements and will develop new programs although carry on providing the long standing member services .
We will continue to maintain the integrity of the AQHA Stud Book in accordance with our mission statement . This is paramount to success and your new Board will be working as a team for AQHA members .
This team possesses a wealth of knowledge and experience which they will apply to their allocated portfolios , servicing every aspect of the Quarter Horse industry . If the members have ideas , let the Directors know as we appreciate your input . The members are an essential and valued part of this A ssociation .
The Directors will meet in December . With Christmas not far off , stay safe and enjoy our magnificent Quarter Horses . Have a wonderful holiday .
