The Amateur Teams Challenge for Q16 took a
different format this year which proved very
popular.
The Amateur Youth Challenge was held on the
Tuesday evening, teams consisted of 3 riders
and were required to have a mix of youth
and amateur members which saw 11 teams
nominated.
Teams were required to ride a specific pattern,
which incorporated Trail, Western Pleasure
and Horsemanship elements with each
rider completing their nominated section
in a tag team format. Each team member
was individually scored and the team with
the highest aggregate score was awarded
the winner. Some teams entered into the
spirit of having a little fun, the team dress
award(if there had been one) would have gone
to eventual 3rd placegetters Johns Angels
consisting of Paula Balgera, Caitlyn Henderson,
Nikita Noakes, complete with angel wings.
Eventual winners were Team BreakODayconsisting of Rae Cribb, Carol Elliott, Lana
Kelderman, runnersup were Megan Richards,
Dianne Rose, Taylah Ogilvie, who all took home
some great prizes sponsored by the AQHA
Amateur Division ..
