Terry and Christine Hall , industry icons , have been key figures in shaping the Australian performance horse scene through their breeding program , Hazelwood . Known for producing high-quality , sought-after horses , the Hazelwood prefix is synonymous with excellence . Their children , Ben and Jane , continue the legacy with top competition success . Terry Hall ’ s career highlights include winning the Inaugural Landmark Classic with Hazelwood Con Air ( FM-25723 ) ( 2009 ), multiple Stallion Shootout victories , and consistent top placings in major events . Hazelwood Conman ( FS-22426 ) who was recorded as an AQHA Foundation Sire in 2010 is a record-breaking sire and has had an immense influence on campdrafting , with progeny dominating both sales and competitions .

John Brekelman originally from Sydney , developed a deep passion for horses after leaving urban life in 1971 to work as a jackaroo . In 1974 , he bought his first horse Cold Duck ( FM ) AQHA registered for $ 300 , laying the foundation for his breeding program . Cold Duck ’ s descendants , including Docs Duckling ( Q-37665 ), became the cornerstone of his " Duck Dynasty ," excelling in cutting , campdrafting , and performance events . John made history as the first million-dollar vendor at the Nutrien Classic , achieving over $ 1.2 million in sales across 29 horses . Notable sales include Breks Shouda Ducked $ 80,000 and Duckdown ( Q-66941 ) $ 80,000 , along with many others . His horses , such as Smooth Duck ( Q-79790 ), Duck Dundee ( Q-76508 ), and Humducker ( Q-66816 ), consistently placed in major events . Sadly , John passed away in 2019 , but his legacy endures . His breeding program and the horses he produced have left a permanent mark on the industry . With numerous high-performing horses and highest priced sales to his name , John ’ s impact on the Australian Quarter Horse & performance horse scene will continue to resonate for years to come . His name will forever be linked to excellence , both in the sale ring and the competition arena , and his pioneering spirit as the first million-dollar vendor will remain a milestone in the industry ’ s history forever .

One Moore Romance is out of One Moore Spin ( Q-24600 ) by Hazelwood Conman ( FS-22426 ).
