YOUTH REPORT - MARCH / APRIL 2025

There ’ s been a lot of action behind the scenes within our youth division since the AQHA AGM in October .
Here ’ s what we have been working towards :
1 . Free one day clinics to current AQHA Youth members . One per state , with one of our AQHA Professional Horsemen . Watch the website for dates in your State . QLD : Mackay QLD - Lorelei Payne 26th April 2025 NSW : TBA , VIC : TBA , TAS : TBA , WA : TBA , SA : TBA
2 . Free entry to have a go at the Youth Team Challenges at each State show .
The Youth Division supply the winner and runner up prizes , along with the tally sheets and rules and regs form . This is a fabulous opportunity for all youth to come together encompassing comradeship between each other .
With the ‘ Big One ’ being held at the Q25 Nationals in April .
3 . The Youth Camp ’ s have been put back together and run through our affiliates . You can download and application form on the AQHA website .
4 . Our Annual General Meeting will be held at the Q25 Nationals in April , we encourage all youth to attend and be a part of our great youth community . We look forward to seeing you all there ( parent ’ s welcome too ) and look forward to all your ideas
5 . The Youth division are once again running an auction at the welcome BBQ at Q25 . This is one of major fundraiser for the year , and take any and all donations for the bidding , plus come enjoy a free meal and grab yourself some bargains . We will have eftpos available .
6 . We have welcomed the Trans Tasman event back to Australia this year , and it will be held in Tatura , Victoria of September this year . Our teams will be announced at Nationals , we are all excitedly waiting for the announcement of our youth team .
7 . Hopefully we will have some news from the USA Convention about the Youth World Cup , and we will update the membership once we have something positive .
8 . The Division have come up with an idea for a Buddy system to encourage our young and novice youth . This will be trailed at Sizzler then Nationals . Look out for announcements .
9 . The Division will be once again running our online stallion auction this year . This is our major fundraiser with all proceeds going towards educational opportunities , free clinics and prizes etc . Make sure you keep a look out for the wonderful stallions on offer and support our youth .
10 . The Division will also be running their silent auction at the Q25 Nationals , you will find the items on tables at the show office , we welcome donations for this , and you can leave items at the with the show team , or with myself .
