At the recent Board
Meeting in Melbourne
the Board made
decisions that will
affect some of our
members and these
decisions will
improve the AQHA
for the future.
A significant
decision was made
with the introduction of a long
term standing committee for the Stud
Book Portfolio. The newly formed
committee will meet for a Face to
Face meeting in the New Year and will
discuss many issues the AQHA are
currently facing.
The Q17 was amended and we welcome
back by popular demand the Novice
Amateur and Novice Youth events to
the National Championships.
The Youth Development Squads
will have commenced and will bring
together Youth members to improve
their skills and knowledge through
education. These camps are designed
to encourage and assist the Youth with
the upcoming qualifications for Trans-
Tasman 2017 and YWC 2018. The
camps will hopefully attract new Youth
members to AQHA.
The Trans-Tasman competition has
been set for September 2017 with
entry packages released on the AQHA
Website. This year’s Trans-Tasman
competition will include three teams
Australia, New Zealand and New
Caledonia.It will be held in QLD.
The AQHA Board has decided to
introduce a program recognising our
breeders by way of awards for breeding
excellence and heritage within our
industry.
