The AQHA Prohorseman group have had quite a proactive year . Still the uncertainty of Covid-19 being still present in most communities and still posing a real issue for competition and travelling , the majority of us still participated across our states supporting our affiliates and major shows .
Behind the scenes the group was busy moving forward with fresh ideas on how to not only help improve our industry as a whole but to also encourage up and coming talent to be apart of the AQHA Prohorseman Group . The committee whilst working on incentives to attract members also created their own bank account so as to start fundraising to go towards things like injured members who may need financial assistance , education ( ie clinics , etc ), promotion , and also cash reward incentives at selected approved shows .
The group was also influential in the addition of Novice horse classes to be approved by the AQHA , which now is a recognised event in our newest edition of the AQHA Rule Book . As the group is passionate about inclusion on all levels of competion , the group put together criteria to allow for a Limited Division Prohorseman .
This allows for eligible members to compete amongst their peers and be rewarded , but also still competing in the open aspect of the competition , for more information on the eligibility criteria for this division please refer to the AQHA RuleBook under Prohorseman .
The group would also like to acknowledge and thank the AQHA Board of Directors for approving the presentation of vests to eligible Prohorseman , this kind gesture also helps the groups exposure , and also helps promote and also identify our AQHA Prohorseman .
The Prohorseman Group would also like to thank the AQHA for their financial support moving forward in to the 2022-2023 show season , the budget that they have allocated to the Prohorseman will also help us to encourage more members to become Prohorseman .
Some of these incentives include international clinics provided for current AQHA Prohorseman and further cash rewards to be presented at selected AQHA approved shows .
