We have closed the financial year in a very strong position .
A big thank you to you the members for your support of your association , and your Board of Directors for being diligent in their management of the association . Thank you also goes to our General Manager and office staff for all their continued hard work .
Some of the years ’ highlights include , another successful National Show , the Youth World Cup selection camp and our first Judging Convention which were all supported well by our members .
We have seen an increase in Membership , breeding returns and registrations this last financial year . This is very encouraging for our membership and AQHA .
As Your President I have enjoyed the challenges and I ’ m extremely happy with the outcomes financially and the successful activities over this last year .
We have continued to support our AQHA industries and moving into the future looking to be a leader in a diverse AQHA family of breeders , competitors , judges , amateurs , youth and all members that just love AQHA .

On behalf of the current board of directors for AQHA please accept the following as my report as the dually appointed Treasurer of the Association .
The AQHA has delivered an outstanding result for the financial year and as such has strengthened the companies balance sheet to $ 4,787,397 .
Please not there is a value within the balance attributed to the revaluation of company ’ s assets and is a value of $ 807,174.28 . There is a qualification from the auditors as to what this actually is .
The overall operating profit for the year as reported by the auditors is $ 223,001 which has exceeded expectations with increased revenue and a reallocation of estimated costs which were placed into next years of trading .
The office management of the budgets should be noted as they were responsible for the day-to-day operation of the business and performed this process with great integrity that you the members can be assured ; we are in good shape considering most of 21 / 22 was affected by covid shutdowns nationally .
I would like to thank the board members and the associations members for the opportunity to be part of our Quarter Horse industry and to assist and deliver correct corporate governance on behalf of the Association .

- Portfolio : Traditional Portfolio Report
The Traditional sub committee have been working behind the scenes over the past year , and have been keeping abreast of governing bodies such as EA , FEI , SHCA , WDA and PCA rules , with our aim to update the membership of any changes when they arise .
The BOD have agreed in principle and the Traditional committee are in the stages of organising Traditional clinics to be run through our affiliates . The aim is to encourage and demonstrate to the wider community about our Traditional classes , and educate people about the AQHA , how to become a member and our beloved Quarter Horses .
The committee have also been working on small videos demonstrating plaiting , braiding techniques , explaining the different tack and what is required for each class .
These videos will be able to be downloaded from the AQHA website for your reference , once completed .
At Q22 this year we introduced an AQHA lifetime measuring card , which will enable future National and State competitors that are eligible to present this card instead of having to be measured . Horses that are under 5 , and under 15hh , or who have not been previously measured will need to be measured at the event . Horses over 15hh will not need to be AQHA measured again , once they have their AQHA lifetime card .
I would like to thank my Sub Committee , Gemma Clarke our General Manager , the office and the BOD , for their ongoing support over the last year , and look forward to serving the membership in the future .
