David Smith & Cantaur Park Kid U Not A1-12772 with Gemma from AQHA
2023 Nutrien Graduate Campdraft , at the very popular 2023 Nutrien Masters Sale & Graduates Campdraft . It was after a great deal of thought that David had decided to sell Cantaur Park Kid U Not through the Sale , his main reason being due to the fair amount of young horses they had coming through at home , and he knew he wasn ' t really going to have the time he needed to put into her .
The feature campdraft event known as the Nutrien Graduates Campdraft , provides the opportunity for horses aged 5 and over , that have previously graduated through any of the Nutrien Classic ( Tamworth ), Nutrien Supreme ( Toowoomba ), Willinga Park or Nutrien Northern Performance Horse sales , to compete for a minimum prizemoney pool .
Kid U Not was ridden in the event by David and went up against a total of 203 very good entries . The pair really did have some great runs to score well of over the three rounds , to eventually see her finishing in 7th place overall , which definitely added to her appeal during the sale . David and his family were also chuffed to find out that due to the handy chestnut mare being the highest placed Quarter Horse in the event , she had been named as the recipient of the AQHA sponsored Nutrien Masters Incentive Award .
When David and Kid U Not stepped into the Nutrien Masters Sale arena to go under the hammer as Lot 112 , the lightly drafted mare , who ’ d of course had some success , caught the eye of Austen Elias , and for him , she was the right
