Tracey & ‘ Ceein Radical Q-71616 aka Bailee ’ love Ranch Riding

After moving to town for work , 16yo Tracey stopped riding and didn ’ t start again until she was 46yo . Now , she ’ s over the moon with the success found with her lovely Quarter horse gelding , Ceein Radical .

‘ I initially bought a lovely old Stock horse to trail ride around our farm , and later bought a Quarter horse to show at Western events . Unfortunately , he didn ’ t have the best arena attitude toward other horses , so I only showed at the Improver level .’
Tracey first saw photos of 7yo Ceein Radical Q-71616 , on Facebook . Bailee , sired by Tall Dark N Radical Q-41653 , out of Winderadeen Isablue Lady q-43976 , was owned and raised by Rhonda Hockley , and trained by her husband , Mick .
‘ Rhonda was at Sizzler with one of her horses , and I met her there to discuss Bailee . When she spoke of him , she teared up . If Rhonda handled and trained him , he ’ d be a gentle soul , so I knew I had to have him . Sight unseen , I said I ’ d take him , so I transferred payment , booked the transport , and prayed that he ’ d be perfect for me . When the dark bay Bailee walked off the truck , he was everything Rhonda said he ’ d be . He didn ’ t know me , but walked up to me and let me give him a hug . His kind eye assured me that I was going to have a lot of fun with him .’
Since buying Bailee , Tracey ’ s moved up through the levels . Bailee ’ s the horse everyone wants their horse stabled next to at shows , as he ’ s buddies with everyone and amusingly , occasionally licks other horse ’ s faces , which they seem to love ! Bailee is kept at the Atkin ’ s farm in Pine Lodge , Victoria , where Tracey ’ s husband , Chris , has built her some stables and a lovely training arena .
‘ Liz Keating from Lifestyle Performance Horses is my trainer , and I go to her property weekly for lessons , then go home and practice . Initially , with my English discipline background , I struggled with the western ‘ buttons ’ and had difficulty getting Bailee to do anything . So , I was happy to find Liz through social media . For my first lesson , she sat with me , asked what I wanted to achieve , addressed my concerns , then helped me to set a program for the best way to move forward . In just 20 minutes of riding , she ’ d worked Bailee out and we were off and running . Liz ’ s
