KNOW YOUR HORSE ' S GENETIC STATUS
Genetic testing is one of the most important tools available to breeders. AQHA recommends breeders understand the status of:
• HYPP
• MYHM
• MH
• PSSM1
• HERDA
• OLWS
• GBED
By understanding the genetic profile of both mare and stallion, breeders can make informed decisions and help prevent affected foals from being born.
Responsible breeding protects the future of our breed. Prepare for this season with the AQHA Breeders.

WHAT CAUSES REGISTRATION DELAYS?
ANSWER: Missing information from the breeding process. Things like:
• Initial Breeding Fee( IBF) not completed
• No DNA on file for Parent Verification( PV)
• Incomplete Genetic Testing
• Embryo & Semen Permits not completed
Before you breed, ask yourself:
• Are both parents tested?
• Is DNA already on file?
• Are you meeting AQHA requirements? A little preparation now saves time, money and frustration later.
