AQHA Youth Lucy McEachern has qualified this season for the AmQHY World Show in Oklahoma City 2-11 August , 2024 !
She will be riding in the level 2 and 3 HUS and level 2 HSE -13yo and under . She has been very fortunate to be given the chance to show and train with Kevin Dukes from Texas and lease for the show one of his client ’ s quarter horses ‘ Roger ’ - Only Roger . Roger has been very successful in the HUS events at major shows . She will fly into Dallas and head to near Weatherford to ride Roger and have lessons with Kevin the week before the World Show .
Kevin will coach Lucy at the World Show and Lucy and her family feel very grateful to him for his support and Roger ’ s owner Marilyn Swick for generously lending him . Lucy is very excited for the opportunity to learn and attend such a huge event .
She qualified with her QH gelding ‘ Shine ’ Shadowvalleys Moonshine ( Q-90054 ), who she competes in the all around classes on- but they both have a soft spot for HUS . This is their second show season together . Last year they were hi point of Australia in the 11 and under . This year they are in the junior youth and have had a pretty great season . They also love to go trail riding on the farm she lives on in Tumbarumba in Southern NSW . When not competing Lucy is playing league tag and competing in athletics .
Lucy would like to thank her coach and mentor Jess Oldham for all her support in her riding and showing journey .

Congratulations to BIGG REDD Q-98350 ( IMP ) ridden by Troy Palmer & owned by Terrence Snow , as they won the Highest Placed Registered Quarter Horse in financial membership at the 2024 Willinga Park Gold Buckle Campdraft .
Owner Terry Snow received a beautiful buckle , trophy rug and champion sash .
