Any registered Australian Quarter Horse that competes
in the Olympic Games qualifies for recognition.
61.13 AQHA Certificate of Achievement
The AQHA Certificate of Achievement for twenty (20) „B‟
class points in any one (1) award category. This means
that if you have earned twenty (20) or more „B‟ points in
Campdrafting, etc., then you will receive an Achievement
Award for that class and so on.
Points cannot be combined; i.e. ten (10) Sporting and ten
(10) Campdrafting, the points must be earned in one (1)
class. You can get an Achievement Award in as many
categories as you earn points in, providing you reach twenty
(20) points in each category.
61.14 RWD Awards and Recognition
a) RWD Rider awards may be awarded at the
Associations discretion to any RWD Rider.
Certificate of Achievement – 10 “B” points or 10 “A” and
“B” combined
Register of Merit – 20 or more points in any particular
class, 15 of which must be “A”
Superior ROM – 50 or more points in any particular
class, 25 of which must be “A”
b) RWD Horse awards may be awarded at the

62. AMATEUR AND SELECT AMATEUR
62.1 Permit
a) Amateur Permit - For those members of the AQHA, who
are no longer eligible to exhibit in youth classes, who
are not professionals in the horse industry and who ride
their horses for the pleasure of competing against other
members who are also not professional;
b) Select Amateur Permit – if a person has attained the
age of fifty (50) years and provides proof of age, which
must be in the form of a copy of a drivers licence or
birth certificate, then their Amateur Permit will be
endorsed as to allow them to compete in Select
Amateur classes;
c) When a show program offers Select Amateur classes
and both Junior and Senior Amateur classes in Western
Pleasure, Trail, Hunter Under Saddle, Western Riding
and Reining, then a person with a Select Amateur
Permit, may enter either the Junior Amateur or the
Senior Amateur classes on a different horse to the one
they ride in their Select class, as long as the age of
