The Self is by nature vitarag( freedom from attachment and abhorrence). It does not have an iota of attachment or abhorrence. It appears otherwise due to illusion( bhranti).

Dadashri: No. There is no effect on the Self at all. The nature of the Self does not change at all. It only attains the wrong belief.
