“I want to help every professional find personal and professional success. Sometimes it takes understanding how to be in compliance with your destiny to achieve you greatest accomplishment. If a guy from small town USA can do it, so can you."
Scott A. Coulter,
Little Black Book for Employment
Passion for personnel development
Serving in the U.S. Army taught Scott a valuable lesson about leadership and personnel development. It was during his corporate tenure when he experienced how gratifying it is to lead and develop others who are seeking a better personal and professional life. Working with sales personnel and organizational development consultants enhanced his ability to listen and think outside of the box. "When you have had the opportunity to work with CEO's of fortune 50-500 companies, you get exposed to an entire new set of ideas and philosophies toward being great within your career. I was able to channel these experiences and build strategies and curriculum that would help my staff become more successful, therefore loving their jobs even more," said Scott when asked why he decided to become a author.
Scott has since taken his passion to the community, working with workforce development boards sharing tips and providing industry information that help professionals in transition find sustainable careers. That's where the book titled, "The Little Black Book for Employment, A recruiters guide to finding employment in 90 days" was born. Scott was since been driven to take his knowledge even further by developing a blog (www.scottacoulter.com) and speaking to students and professionals about the importance of self improvement and how it applies to everyday life successes. His second book was motivated by speaking to a technology executives about the lack of technical professionals placing a premium on excellent service. Today, Scott is working on a Recruiting Certification Course and hopes to have opportunities to work with companies and individual students more in 2014.
