PE TRIP – MANCHESTER CITY

On the 29th of January, many lucky PE students in S3 were greeted with the opportunity to take a trip all the way down to Manchester for the day. The pupils arrived at school at their usual time, then they hopped on the coach and set of for their long journey at 9 am.
After being on the coach for 5 hours, they made their first stop in Liverpool. Once they left the coach, the pupils split into two groups; one group would visit the Liverpool Football teams gift shop whilst the other half got an exclusive tour of Anfield Stadium by a local fan. The students got to see many sights in the stadium like the team’ s history, achievements, the locker rooms and the audience stands. Once each group finished their tour, they swapped activities. Once each team finished the tour and gift shop visit, they resumed their journey to the distant city of Manchester.
Once the coach finally reached Manchester, the pupils had to push through waves of crowds surrounding the stadium, causing them to get lost and circle around the stadium a few dozen times. Once inside, they were separated into groups of 10 and got handed their tickets to the big game of Man City against Club Brugge from Belgium. They located their seats and realized they were sat right in the front row, just behind the nets, and got to see both teams warm up before their important game starting at 8pm. If Man City didn ' t win the game, then they would ' ve been out of the champions league. Thankfully, for Man City They won the game 3-1 in a blaze of glory. After Man City ' s inspirational win, the pupils packed their bags and set off back to Scotland, ending their trip at quarter to 4 on the 30 th.
