Written by Miss O ’ Neill Many Congratulations to Hayden Ferguson , 2W2 for winning the South Ayrshire Young Carer ’ s Logo Competition . The competition was open to pupils from across the whole of South Ayrshire . Pupils were asked to design a logo to be used on all South Ayrshire Young Carers promotional material .
The winner was announced on Young Carers Action Day ( 15th March 2023 ) when Hayden was presented with a £ 20 Love2Shop voucher and shown the finished logo . Hayden ’ s original artwork was created into a final logo by a professional graphic designer and will now be used on all South Ayrshire Young Carers promotional material , including social media etc . In addition , it will be used for the Young Carers Voice Group in South Ayrshire . Hayden will also receive a pack of promotional goods and leaflets once these have been prepared to incorporate the new logo . Well done Hayden on this very exciting achievement !
On Young Carers Action Day two other Marr pupils also participated in a panel of three young carers for two sessions hosted by Carers Trust Scotland and Education Scotland . These sessions were to launch the new PLA modules on young carers ( which also features a short film , created by and starring a Marr pupil ).
