tenants land ownership. Only collective ownership of farms could resolve this issue. The state should finance collective farming, providing water, draught animals, equipment, fertilizer, and seeds. The state should also have the right to charge appropriate fees from the farmers. The state should own and operate fundamental and essential industries, and it should have the right to decide when and how bondholders can claim compensation.
Dr. Ambedkar was fully committed to protecting the interests of the working class and ensuring social security for them. He was a member of the Executive Council of two Viceroys— Lord Wavell and Lord Linlithgow. The Labor Manifesto he presented on September 2, 1945, in the Viceroy ' s Executive Council later became the foundation for labor welfare schemes. During his tenure, the Factory Act was amended to reduce working hours and provide paid leave to workers. The Indian Mines Act and the Mines Maternity Benefits Act were amended to offer better facilities and benefits to workers.
Another important bill related to employment conditions was also passed.
However, Dr. Ambedkar will be remembered for his long-term contributions, particularly the establishment of statutory welfare funds and significant steps in the field of social insurance. Dr. Ambedkar left behind a rich legacy for modern India. In his last speech before the Constitution was passed, he said that from January 26, 1950, there would be equality in our political sphere, but inequality would persist in the social and economic spheres. This contradiction must be resolved as soon as possible. Thus, it can be said that Dr. Ambedkar, a member of the Scheduled Castes, laid the foundation for present-day India.
Scheduled Caste leaders have made significant contributions to Indian politics. Among such leaders, Dr. Ambedkar is the first name that comes to mind. He drafted a Constitution that strengthened democracy, which is now considered the best Constitution, not just in India, but worldwide. Dr. Ambedkar played the most crucial role in India ' s economic development. The economic progress of present-day India can be attributed to his thinking.
Dr. Ambedkar can be seen as a Dalit leader who worked to empower Dalits in the social sphere. After Dr. Ambedkar, many other leaders have played their roles in bringing change to India and Dalit society in their own ways. One such leader is Prime Minister Narendra Modi, whose work is also said to be the reason behind the significant representation of Dalits in the BJP, with the highest number of MPs and MLAs belonging to the Dalit community. Prime Minister Modi is working day and night to fulfill the dream of transforming the situation of the Dalit society, lifting them from their painful conditions so that they can take an active role in India ' s overall development. The way the Modi government is working for the development of Dalit society, it seems that this dream will soon be realized, and after that, nothing can stop India from becoming the spiritual leader of the world.
