April 9, Neuropathy meeting: Are you experiencing difficulties from neuropathy? Come and learn from others; we can share some of our difficulties, and things that have worked, helped with some of the effects we are dealing with. Dr. Charlie will be present to share some of his ideas and information from the Neuropathy Society on this very difficult, sometimes painful, and uncomfortable disease. We will be meeting in the Lewis Room, upstairs in the Activity Center on Wednesday, April 9 starting at 1 p. m.
April 19, Easter Egg Hunt: Come enjoy the fun and excitement of young children hunting for Easter eggs. Bring your children and grandchildren ages 0-6 to the area behind the Clubhouse Dining Room on Saturday, April 19 from 9:30-1130 a. m. This year, not only
will the Hoppy Easter Bunny be there, but also Ribbit the Frog.
April 23, Charbonneau Food Drive: This month, the needs of the Wilsonville Community Sharing group include; Deodorant, snacks, laundry soap( pods are the best so that they can portion them out) and juice. From what I’ ve heard, our community has been doing a great job with your donations, both items and monetary. WCS has said in the past that this time of year is when they really need our assistance because most of their donations come in November and December, so thank you again for whatever level of donation you can make; it all helps. The members of our Charbonneau Food Drive Committee will collect donations on Wednesday, April 23 from 830 a. m.-1 p. m. Monetary donations may be made out to Wilsonville Community Sharing.
April 24, New Resident Meet & Greet: Are you new to Charbonneau, welcome to this wonderful community. Would you like to learn
more about Charbonneau and the going ons? Then come to the New Resident Meet & Greet hosted by Mary Fieweger( the cookie lady). Mary creates a fun get-together and usually has a member of the Charbonneau Board of Directors there also to help share even more information with you. April 27, VoxaNova: Charbonneau’ s Music Stage Concert Series presents VoxaNova Trio: Come enjoy some really great music and enjoy listening to light jazz, and Bossa Nova, emphasizing beautiful melodies, lush harmonies, exotic rhythms and original arrangements. This event will be held in the Clubhouse Dining Room starting at 3 p. m. on Sunday, April 27. Tickets are $ 20 and may be purchased from the Charbonneau Activity Center or through the Charbonneau Arts Association.

For residents at SpringRidge at Charbonneau, wellness isn’ t just about exercise— it’ s about enhancing quality of life, improving mobility and fostering a sense of community. Fitness director Matt Payne understands that every resident at the active retirement community has unique needs and goals, and his mission is to create inclusive, engaging and effective wellness programs that make a difference.
“ Residents require a slightly different regimen than younger adults,” Matt explains.“ I focus on stretching, flexibility, balance and strength training, all of which contribute to better mobility and overall wellness.”
