SVRCS ’ s First Ever Wrestling Regional Qualifier !
Sugar Valley Rural Charter School would like to recognize senior wrestler Kyle Stahl for becoming one of the school ’ s first sectional finalists and then moving on for the school ’ s first ever PIAA Northeast Regional Qualifier !
Kyle has attended SVRCS since he was in first grade . He is the youngest son of Jim and Michele Stahl of Mill Hall . He has played soccer since early in his youth and has played for the West Branch Soccer Club , as well as the Central Mountain Varsity Soccer team , and is an officer in the SVRCS FFA chapter . Kyle began wrestling at the age of four , and with the support of his parents and older brothers , he is a leader on the mat , providing an example of how to do things the right way , not only for his teammates , but for the younger athletes . Although Kyle didn ’ t get the results he wanted at the Regional tournament , the SVRCS community is extremely proud of him and he is a huge inspiration to many younger athletes at the school .
Kyle intends to pursue a career in Heavy Diesel Construction after graduation . We know he will do great things with his future and continue to be a leader !
SVRCS would also like to recognize another first in the athletic program , as junior Emma Downing became the first Lady Phoenix to wrestle at the Girls Northeast Regional Tournament then qualify to move onto the PA Girls Wrestling State Competition . Emma is new to the sport of wrestling , and with the support of her Coach Jason Bilbay and the men ' s wrestling team , she is hoping to lay the foundation for a potential girls ' team at SVRCS going forward .
