The new member orientation will be held on April 5 in the clubhouse lounge at 10 a . m . New members are invited to join us for coffee / tea and a “ treat ”. We ’ ll have an informational session to help guide
you through the club rules and the opportunities available for participation . There will be a lot of golf going on again this year !
There will be a WIP ( Women ’ s Interclub Play ) organizational meeting on April 18 . Please contact Peg Wells for more information .
As we begin our regular golf season , here are some helpful rule reminders :
Ball-markers must be artificial , such as a tee , coin , toe of the club , or other small piece of equipment . A natural object like a leaf or twin may not be used as a ball-marker . The marker must be placed right behind or next to your ball or by holding a club on the ground right behind or next to your ball .
Your ball may be lifted and marked only by you or anyone you authorize , but you must give such authorization each time before your ball is lifted rather than giving it generally for the round . Your ball must be replaced only by you or any other person who lifted your ball or caused it to move .
You must mark your ball if you must lift or move it to correctly identify the ball anywhere on the course . A ball may not be moved or repositioned on the green without first marking the ball .
Start your stretching , get out on the course as the sun shines and let ’ s get ready for a fun season ahead ! Opening day , here we come !
