Maggie has been the proud owner of
Taunton Avenue Bakery for the past fourteen years and will be celebrating five years this April at the Taunton Avenue location in central East Providence . In the past 14 years , she has learned a great deal about resilience and determination . Midway through , her husband passed due to a long and terrible disease . She quickly learned how to be resilient for her business and more importantly her family .
Taunton Avenue Bakery started by just selling a variety of breads and desserts . Today they specialize in creating one-of-a-kind wedding cakes — one of Maggie ’ s passions — in addition to their breads and desserts .
A great many challenges came to life during 2020 as the world faced a global pandemic . As a business we all had to learn to adapt and adjust along with our customers with ever changing restrictions in order to continue to provide our services . We faced tough times and struggles but all came with positive moments of learning . Upon reflection Maggie feels fortunate to have had the opportunity to enjoy special moments with family and appreciate the small things life has to offer . One of those things is her recent engagement ! At the heart of the bakery is an extremely talented and dedicated team of professionals who have been a vital part of Maggie ’ s journey . They are the frontline who arrive early , bake the bread , brew the coffee and provide service to our customers and the surrounding communities with a smile .
