This past March, the Evesham Township School District highlighted the importance of health and wellness in all 8 K-8 schools. From healthy eating options to representatives from Cherry Hill Health and Racquet conducting 12 30-minute workouts in grades 6-8 across the district - the students were exposed to a many ways to become better movers and eaters.
The capstone of the week was the Wednesday night Wellness expo where a myriad of presenters on food, exercise, and mindfulness came together in one place. The CHHRC team attended with PKfit owner, Phil to teach kids "how to be a ninja" - the phrase that piqued kids interests. Kids from Kindergarten through 8th grade were seen vaulting over obstacles, balancing on beams, moving like gorillas, but most importantly, smiling from ear to ear.
The Evesham Township School District can't thank CHHRC enough for their generosity and positive message their students walked away with.
