Taylor Communications Shelbyville
plant repeats as Plant of the Year
F
or the second consecutive year,
the Shelbyville plant of Taylor
Communications has been
named Plant of the Year for 2017. The
Plant of the Year designation is an annual
award based on a balanced scorecard
including safety, quality, delivery and
financial results. The Shelbyville plant
had excellent performance in 2017 with
no accidents/injuries and exceeded
planned targets in all other metrics. This
is the fourth time the facility has won the
Plant of the Year Award. Fifteen facilities
in North America competed for the
designation.
The plant celebrated the honor on
March 8th with a pitch-in dinner and
cake. Each employee received a gift
card of their choice. Corporate leaders
from Taylor Communications including

Officer), Blake Herring (Vice President,
Human Resources), Greg Soltis (Vice
President, Operations and Supply
Chain), Chuck Paison (Regional General
Manager) and Daniel Driscoll (Plant
Manager, Coldwater, Ohio) toured the
Shelbyville plant, congratulated the team
on their accomplishment, and answered
questions from associates.
The Shelbyville plant manufactures
products for business communication
including multipart forms, business
forms, security documents and corporate
identity products. The plant recently
added equipment that applies a label to
a business form expanding
