Knowledge Management Strategy II : Design and Implement KM Capabilities and Evolve and Sustain Your KM Strategy ( 1 / 2 Day Offered on April 24 P . M .) This workshop focuses on helping organizations further build out their strategy by taking organizations through the latter two phases of APQC ’ s Knowledge Management Framework : designing and implementing KM capabilities , and evolving and sustaining their KM programs . It will build on the KM Strategy I workshop , and give participants the tools , templates , and ideas to help them design and implement their KM capabilities and to evolve and sustain their KM programs .
Knowledge Management Master Class ( Full Day Offered on April 26 ) Intended for intermediate and advanced practitioners , workshop participants will engage in a series of working sessions based on actual KM projects and engagements , as well as their own KM challenges that they bring to the session . Attendees will participate in collaborative sharing sessions following each round to exchange and refine the learnings and results . APQC experts will join each team and share best practice and case study examples as the team works to solve problems and establish action plans that fit the challenge .
Knowledge Mapping ( 1 / 2 Day Offered on April 25 P . M .) This workshop focuses on the tactical steps and tools used to identify the information / knowledge gaps , to conduct an investigative process to find out where the information / knowledge can be used to enhance key areas of focus . Attendees should have a specific area of need or process in mind to attend this workshop .
Measuring the Impact of Knowledge Management ( Full Day Offered on April 25 & 26 ) This workshop will focus on developing measurement approaches appropriate to your stage of KM implementation . Participants will develop and apply measures appropriate to the approaches they are using to enable knowledge sharing and transfer and demonstrate impact on the business . It will also focus on the KM measurement capability and the core processes required to develop a systematic approach for measuring the efficiency of KM .
Process Essentials for Knowledge Management ( Full Day Offered on April 26 ) Attendees in this workshop will develop their understanding of process management for KM using real-world case studies and examples , as well as APQC subject matter expertise . During this workshop , you will learn about APQC ’ s Seven Tenets of Process Management SM and the characteristics of high-performing , bestpractice process managed organizations . You will also learn how the seven tenets work together to build a strong process management approach .
Transferring Critical Knowledge ( 1 / 2 Day Offered on April 25 A . M .) This interactive workshop will give participants tools to understand what knowledge is truly critical to their organizations and determine the most urgent priorities for capture and transfer . It will include an overview of established best practices and examples from leading organizations . The instructors also will walk through a series of knowledge mapping techniques ( including process- and role-based mapping ) to identify critical knowledge and reveal gaps and inefficiencies . Finally , participants will learn how to match their organization ’ s knowledge needs with the right capture and transfer approaches and how to use a knowledge risk matrix to evaluate competing priorities .
