The Voronoi diagram of two points A(2, 8) and B(2, 4) are formed.
(a) Write down the equation of the boundary separating the Voronoi cells of A and
B .

A new point C(8, 6) is added to this Voronoi diagram, such that the gradient of L , the
boundary separating the Voronoi cells of B and C , is � 3 . This is shown in the following
diagram:
(b) (i) Write down the coordinates of the mid-point of BC .
(ii)

Find the equation of L , giving the answer in slope-intercept form.
Hence, find the coordinates of the intersection of the boundaries.
