PLANNING COMMISSION
The Planning Commission is a seven-member voluntary citizen advisory board that advises the City Council on planning activities and land use issues . The commission discusses and evaluates development and building proposals , conditional use permit applications , proposed changes to the comprehensive plan or zoning map , and related planning issues . The commission makes recommendations to the City Council according to the goals and objectives of the comprehensive plan and requirements of the zoning , subdivision , and sign ordinances .
