Scaling New Heights
The 63rd India International Garment Fair (IIGF), one of Asia’s largest Apparel Trade
Shows, garnered a great response from all stakeholders of the Industry. Read on

The 63rd India International Garment Fair (IIGF)
was jointly inaugurated by Mr Shantmanu, IAS,
Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) and
Mr Rahul Mehta, Chairman, International Garment
Fair Association (IGFA), in the presence of Mr Lalit
Thukral, Vice Chairman, IGFA, Mr Ravi Kumar
Passi, Chairman, Export Promotion Council for
Handicrafts (EPCH), and Mr Rakesh Kumar,
Executive Director, EPCH, on July 7, 2019, at
CFB Area, India Exposition Mart Limited (IEML),
Greater Noida.
Mr Shantmanu, IAS Inaugurated the Fair by
cutting the ribbon, lighting the lamp and then a
hand-spun yarn on the Charkha that was installed
in the CFB Area, IEML. Post the Inauguration, the

Development Commissioner traversed the Fair
ground, showing keen interest in the products
displayed by the participants.
The Fair played host to 329 stalls—by
participants from across the country—sprawled
across four vast halls. Facilities such as free Wi-Fi,
a Cafeteria, a Buyers’ Lounge, a Medical Room
with a stand-by Ambulance, a Business Centre,
and Fire Safety services were also provided.
A total number of 1,592 Buyers and 227
Buying Agents registered themselves on the
IIGF website for its 63rd Edition. 683 quality
International Buyers from 448 companies
hailing from 66 countries, along with 424 Buying
Agents, visited the three-day Fair. The 63rd IIGF
