Kornit Digital ties up with Arrow Digital as its
Indian distributor
Leading digital textile printing
company Kornit Digital has
collaborated with Arrow Digital,
a distributor of materials
and equipment for digital
printing and cutting markets,
to increase its presence in
digital printing business in
India. Under this partnership,
Arrow will be responsible for the
distribution of Kornit’s direct-
to-garment machines, inks and
consumable spare parts and
other relevant products. Besides,
it will also provide service and
application support to its Indian
customers.
“Our goal is to continuously
improve our customers’
experience in every aspect.
Expanding our network of sales
and support personnel and being
close to where our customers
are located is a key initiative
towards achieving that,” said
Buck Kim, President of Kornit
Digital Asia Pacific Limited.
Arrow Digital believes that the
Indian garment industry, with
the rise in the skilled labour
market, is now moving towards
mass customization. Also, the
people are now switching from
screen to digital printing. Kornit’s
portfolio of direct-to-garment
products is the perfect fit for its
aggressive growth strategy in
the digital textile market. “Green
technologies, better quality and
on-demand short runs are now
in the trend. Social media and
e-commerce contribute to the
demand for digital technologies.
We are ready to take the direct-
to-garment market to the next
level, combining our support and
expertise with Kornit’s cutting-
edge technology for this segment,”
said Sam Patel, CEO of Arrow
Digital Pvt. Ltd. The collaboration
between the two companies was
first witnessed at the Gartex
exhibition that recently concluded
in New Delhi.
Spectrum Washing, Delhi doubling its capacity
Known for quality denim
washing (jobwork), Spectrum
Washing, Delhi is doubling its
capacity. Having two units at
Barhi (Haryana), as of now, the
company has washing capacity of
3,000 pieces per day and the plan
is to increase it to 7, 000 pieces
per day in the next five months.
The company recently invested
Rs. 1.5 crore in its washing plant
and will invest further Rs. 2 crore
in near future.
SP Keshan, Director of the
company told Apparel Online,
“We are booked for the next
month and we can’t take more
orders. So, we have to increase
the capacity. We have also
recently invested in E-flow
technology which is conducive
from the sustainability point of
view as it saves a lot of water.”
He further added that this
E-flow technology is made by
an Indian company and is quite
good compared to any overseas
SP Keshan (R), Director, Spectrum Washing and Utkarsh Keshan
company and at a price that is
even less than half.
The company claims to grow three
times with this expansion as its
overhead will remain the same
even after expansion. “With the
expansion, there will be just 20
to 30 per cent increase in overall
expenditure, rest all will be within
our margin, so we are expecting
good growth,” Keshan informed.
Besides, Spectrum Washing has
enough space to go ahead with
the expansion plan and has also
increased its discharge limit. It
is purely working with domestic
clients as the Director states that
his priority is quality and not
quantity and his domestic clients
also believe in the same ideology.
