be very much productive. In GTE, we
are exploring technology which can
lead us toward smart manufacturing,”

Cotton Blossom India, Tirupur who
also showed interest in printing and
embroidery machines. Cotton Blossom
India is one of the well-known export
houses working with many top brands.
Sanjay Anand, Operation Head,
Bloomcraft Apparels, Bangalore
also had a similar opinion: “At this
time, technology is an important
requirement, so we are looking for
technology to reduce manpower issues
and increase productivity too. Some
machines like button feeder from
Sakho are interesting developments.”
The company, manufacturing shirts,
works with brands like Mango,
Carrefour, M&S etc. Recently it started
work with US market too.
Many mid-level technical professionals
from Shahi Exports were present at
the show while different teams took
interest as per their department’s
requirements. “Different kinds of
lighting systems showcased at the
booth of IIGM were really interesting.
By using this, one can save a lot of
energy. As most of the factories are
moving out to new places where the
weather is comparatively hotter
than Bangalore, such energy-
saving technology is a big support
to the workers also as it provides
comfortable working environment,”
said Shripad Hegde, GM – QA, Shahi
Exports. The team of Himatsingka
Linens was also exploring automation
for home furnishing products.
Sandeep Agarwal, GM (Sewing
Operations) of the company was
looking for automatic flat hemmer.
As needle running time is less in
company’ products, this machine will
help an operator to increase needle
time. The team explored technology
which can reduce manual operations
and SAM value. Automatic pattern
sewing machine also attracted the
team.
Team Apparel Online also met
retailers and international brands
at the event and discussed various
aspects. Manu Menon, Regional
Head – QA, Reliance Trends visited
the show with his team. “There
are some machines we have seen
which can improve quality also,” he
added. Reliance Trends is growing
aggressively and is now coming
up with its stores in comparatively
smaller cities.

and well-done exhibition. The
format of this show is of decent size,
visitation is also good and two years
