BEYOND INDIA Crystal International promotes energy saving at 11 factories Crystal International, a Hong Kong based apparel manufacturing giant, has led 11 subsidiary factories in Vietnam, Cambodia, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka to switch off unnecessary lights and encourage the use of energy-efficient lighting as well as promote energy saving. More than 44,000 staff members were part of the move that marked the World Wide Fund for Nature’s (WWF) Earth Hour initiative, one of the largest collective environmental movements. For nine consecutive years, Crystal International has supported the noble initiative and further wants to influence its staff towards adopting such energy saving practices.“On environmental protection, it is necessary to let more people join us to promote energy-saving practices among their families and friends, protecting our nature and eventually achieving massive environmental impact for our planet,” the company BUTTONS / BUCKLES said. In addition to this, earlier this year, Crystal International was among the companies to be associated with Global Fashion Agenda’s new Associate Partner’s circle encouraging the organisation’s mission to make the fashion industry more sustainable.
