Swedish / Iranian menswear brand Namacheko, which was launched last year, has inked a distribution deal with Dover |
Street Market to introduce its range in six locations around the world. The one-year old menswear brand which |
registered a significant growth in its initial days is today housed by over 35 retailers globally. Beginning with the reopening of Rei Kawakubo, a veteran Japanese fashion designer’ s flagship, Dover Street Market in Ginza, Tokyo, the collaboration will see the store offer an exclusive year-long installation produced by the Sweden-based menswear label.
The new opening is a part of the brand’ s momentous growth following its launch by the siblings, Dilan and Lezan Lurr, as a tribute to their family and their life in Kirkuk, Iraq, back in January last year. The apparel brand has secured more than 38 retailers that

sell a specific type of products which includes Opening Ceremony( American clothing brand), The Broken Arm( French multi-brand store), Isetan( Japanese department store) and SSENSE( Canadabased global fashion platform). Additionally, the Swedish menswear retailer came up with a preview of its A / W’ 18 range, the Namacheko installation at Dover Street Market Ginza which was presented against a green background with a decorative laser cut panel for the attendees. Interestingly, the collection of that show was inspired by a photobook and a short film that was made by the siblings as a mark of respect to their hometown in Iraq in December 2016. |
