A day long Bharat Bandh on 2nd April had an impact on the working of hubs like Ludhiana and Meerut while Delhi-NCR and Jaipur remained normal and worked smoothly. On Sunday evening( 1st April) internet services were suspended in Ludhiana and it was resumed only on Tuesday( 3rd April) morning. In Tirupur, on April 5, a Tamil Nadu‘ Bandh’ was called by all political parties against failure to form the Cauvery Management Board and it had larger impact as most of the factories and offices remained closed on this day. Finally comes little relief for the garment exporters as they have finally started receiving refunds of RoSL from the first week of April. Normally these refunds used to come in May or June, but this time it started almost one-and-a-half months earlier. Some of the apparel exporters confirmed the same and shared that their refunds regarding the same has been cleared till December 2017. In South India, especially in Tirupur, few exporters shared that they have received RoSL refund just for first quarter of 2017 – April to June.
