One more such example is Maurya Exports, a five-year-old player into knitted fabric business, who started printed legging (even digital print), 100 per cent combed cotton lycra with bio wash almost a year ago and is now enjoying the growth. LB Maurya, Managing Director stated, “We did research on what is being offered in the market by top brands and what is the customer’s requirement, and found that such quality products were missing in the market, so we went for the same and are now geared up for further growth.” The company recently launched 100% cotton denim which has the look and feel of legging. Its brand WEARA, is initially for domestic market, but will cater to export also in future. Apart from these ‘uncommon’ products, there are many companies that are adding back those products which they were doing earlier but discontinued due to market conditions. It is an expansion as well as product diversification for them. One such company, RR Apparels producing menswear (tees and loungewear), has just entered into ladies’ segment and started with athleisurewear. Initially this segment was done for a buyer, but now with the positive response, the company is planning to focus more on the same. Savijot Kalra, Head, Business Development of the company stated, “We are focusing more on product development, especially on fabric side like single jersey, poly lycra, etc.” The company recently added stitching ca
