US apparel imports grow; Vietnam emerges top beneficiary
January to February 2018
The United States has posted growth in its apparel imports (both in volume and value) during the first 2 months
of 2018. The low UVR has helped the country to beat its previous year’s performance when it spent more dollars
on clothing import than 2018. Of all major apparel exporting destinations, Vietnam secured its second rank after
China and its growth during the review period is the best percentage-wise growth among the top 5 apparel
exporters to the US.
