YILMAK
TAKES ON BANGLADESH MARKET WITH TECHNICAL EXCELLENCE IN WASHING MACHINES
Turkish finishing machines manufacturer Yilmak has been present in Bangladesh since last 14 years and has been renowned as the biggest washing machines ’ supplier to Bangladesh apparel industry . Its 4000 installations till now are proof of the quality and reliability that the company offers to its customers .
Operating through its own representative office and along with two agents , the latest highlight of the company is Rainforest™ washing technology . As the name suggests , the washing machine has taken care of the environment with its sustainable features . “ RF400 consumes minimum water , chemicals and energy compared to other machines because it works on a patented technology ( Patent approved by European Patent Office ( EPO )),” informed M . Furkan Civelek , Director Sales & Marketing , Yilmak . The RainForest washing machine cuts down on the water consumption by 50 % and chemicals by around 30- 40 %. The company also addresses the problem of gas shortage in Bangladesh with the reduction of energy required ( half of the energy used by the conventional machine available in market ).
The company has been spearheading in the market , thanks to its technical excellence . RainForest washing machine works on two patented technologies used in the machine . One of the technology is new water circulation system , which circulates the water during the rotation of the drum without the use of any energy . The powerless water circulation , patented in 2015 , results in less consumption of energy .
Another patent , welding-free multi-beaters , allow for less water consumption as the water is

THE MULTI-BEATERS FADE THE GARMENT BY MULTIPLE BEATING ( FOR WHICH CHEMICAL IS USED HEAVILY TO ACHIEVE A PARTICULAR SHADE ) AND EVEN TAKE LESS TIME , THAT IS , ABOUT 20 – 30 % LESSER AS COMPARED TO CONVENTIONAL MACHINES AVAILABLE IN THE MARKET .
continuously circulated instead of keeping it idle . This means the water ratio can be decreased against conventional scenarios . “ In conventional machine , there are 3-4 beaters in the inner drum , but RF has 4 main beaters and many of the beaters give more beating to the garment , thus fading more ,” explained Furkan .
Usually , chemicals are added according to the volume of the water used . Yilmak ’ s Rainforest not only brings down the water consumption , but also the chemical usage in the washing machine . The multi-beaters serve multiple advantages for their customers . They fade the garment by multiple beating ( for which chemical is used heavily to achieve a particular shade ) and even take less time , that is , about 20 – 30 % lesser as compared to conventional machines available in the market . The time saved can be utilised to finish more bundles of garments .
Back staining , which persists as the biggest problem during finishing and sometimes even leads to rejection , is solved by multi-beaters . Furthermore , the crease marks on garments can also be avoided , giving the advantage of loading more garments , minimum 30 % extra loading allowance more than conventional machines .
“ Space is another constraint among old RMG factories where sometimes investing in more machines is not an option anymore ,” said Fukran . With less number of RF400 washing machines , users can achieve more productivity . Approximately 17,000 pieces of garments can be finished with 10 RF machines , while the same number of conventional machines would only be able to finish 10,000 garments .
Rising cost of labour in Bangladesh is another factor leading exporters towards automation . RF 400 comes with automatic unloading option which depicts that a single operator can operate 5-6 machines . The remote control feature in Yilmak ’ s washing machines puts it in the user-friendly list . “ A person sitting anywhere in the world can monitor it in real time . He can observe consumption , recipes , situation of the machine , level of water etc . The user can prepare recipes and transfer it through a PC to other machines ,” informed Fukran .
He believes that to stay in competition , Bangladesh exporters have to adopt advancements otherwise they won ’ t be able to survive . He giggled , “ Bangladesh was not looking towards front loading machines five years back , but now everybody is using it .”
The technological superiority of Yilmak is supported by strong after-sales service by its agent Solver . With a team of 25 people , Solver has divided Bangladesh into six different zones to address the after-sales service in a better way . Trained in Turkey , the team trains the factory operators on the utilisation of the machine . A M Obaidur Rashid , CEO , Solver said , “ Last year was a bit slow but we are hopeful for this year . We are expecting around 300 installations in the current year .”
The clientele base of Yilmak includes bigwigs like Standard Group , ABA Group ( Vintage Denim Ltd .), Bitopi Group , Tarasima , Remi Holdings , The Delta Group , Arvind Denim Mills , Artistic Milliners , etc .
