“…Of all the potential markets, we consider
Russia as the biggest market for us. We have
requested the Government to seek out facility
of duty-free entrance into this huge market…,”
stated Md. Siddiqur Rahman, President,
BGMEA
“At the moment, I would say Russia is one of
the most attractive markets…,” maintained
Maksym Sukhanov – General Director,
Maximum Sourcing, a Vietnam-based exporter,
who supplies outerwear, jeans, woven & knit
items and swimwear to the tune of US $ 5-10
million annually to names such as Melon
Fashion Group, Modis, 12 Storeez, etc.
“The only bottlenecks I would say are the
cumbersome documentation processes including
those needing to qualify for the FTA-related
tax deductions as well as the stringent measures
adopted by the Russian Import-Export
authorities to take goods through the Russia
borders…,” underlined Chris Walker, Marketing
Manager,Thai Son SP Sewing Factory, Vietnam,
who exports basic items like T-shirts, polos, etc.
to clients like Baon, Finnflaire, Steinberg and
