DEGUMMING-2018
seminar at BUTEX

SA, France, jointly organised a
seminar titled ‘DEGUMMING-2018’ on
December 9, 2018 at the Bangladesh
University of Textiles (BUTEX)
auditorium in capital city Dhaka.
Aimed to act as a bridge between
corporates and academic institutions,
the event was attended by a host
of dignitaries from academia
including Prof. Engr. Mashud
Ahmed,Vice Chancellor, BUTEX;
Prof. Dr. Moshiur Rahman Khan,
Faculty of Textile Fashion Design
& Apparel BUTEX, besides
Prof. Md. Abul Kashem, Head,
Department of Apparel Engineering
at BUTEX, who also hosted the
event. Representing the corporate side
at the seminar were Special Guest

Rahman explaining
how technology
development can
bring in revolutionary
changes while Sohel
Ahmed spoke on aamra
companies and their
vision and mission.

explaining how technology
development can bring in
revolutionary changes while Sohel
Ahmed spoke on aamra companies
and their vision and mission. Prof. Engr. Mashud Ahmed expressed
his deep appreciation to aamra and
Lectra for this unique initiative and
revealed that this initiative will be a
remarkable moment for the apparel
industry of Bangladesh. Considering
this initiative as an extraordinary day
in the history of BUTEX, Prof. Md.
Abul Kashem declared 9th December
as Official Apparel Day.
The Head of Fashionology division
of Aamra Resources Ltd. and Brand
Manager of Lectra in Bangladesh,
Shamim Masudul Haque, on this
occasion, introduced ‘Lectra 4.0’
and explained how it can meet new
challenges through the new software It may be mentioned here that
aamra believes this seminar will not
only develop the future leaders of
the apparel industry from the root
level but also equip them with the
necessary skills required to transform
the future of Bangladesh.
