Jack acquires Italian jeans automation pioneer Vibemac

In yet another accomplishment, Jack Sewing Machine Co. Ltd., a leading Chinese sewing technology provider, acquired Italian jeans automation company Vibemac SPA. The official signing ceremony was organised in San Giovanni Lupatoto City Hall at Verona, Italy on July 4, 2018 and witnessed the presence of the decision makers of both the companies.

Jack has bought Vibemac for a total Euro 23.2 million( US $ 28.6 million) as the Chinese firm looks to gain a foothold in Italy’ s garment equipment industry. With this acquisition, Jack Sewing aims to expand its product categories and its customer base in Italy with a particular focus on automated jeans production.

On the other hand, China is the world’ s largest denim garment production base; therefore, the acquisition will also help Jack to quickly introduce Vibemac SPA in the Chinese market with its strong channel advantages and China’ s localisation advantages.
Moreover, Jack has strong sales channels in more than 120 countries around the world and the Chinese sewing juggernaut would now be able to leverage the technical development experience of Vibemac and sell its excellent denim sewing technology to all corners of the world to achieve a win-win situation.
Overwhelmed with the merger, Jixiang Ruan, Chairman, Jack Sewing Machine Co. Ltd., commented,“ The acquisition will help Jack to enrich its product line and accelerate the development of automated sewing machines. At the same time, Vibemac’ s experience in the whole process, planning, layout and sales can give Jack a useful reference for smart manufacturing complete solutions, which will accelerate Jack’ s entry into smart package solution service providers.”

And, the recent acquisition of 38-year old Italian jeans automation pioneer Vibemac has strengthened its base all the more in the global sewing industry.
