up new textile
testing lab in
Dhaka

ermany-based testing services provider, Hohenstein is
coming up with a new laboratory in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
With construction going on in full swing for last six months,
the advanced laboratory will be operational soon.

Bangladesh.
The new laboratory will consist of high quality analysis
equipment and will provide a wide range of chemicals
and textile technology testing. Some of the key tests that
will be conducted by it are testing for harmful chemicals,
performance-based tests, quality control tests (colour
fastness, pilling, water tightness, fibre fineness, etc.) and
inspections for textile manufacturers, retailers, and brands.
In the first instance, about 30 local employees will work in
the new testing laboratory with new appointments on the
table for future. The inauguration of the new facility will be
done by Professor Stefan Mecheels, CEO, Hohenstein
Institute with around 300 visitors expected. Stefan is the
third generation to lead the family-run company.

Professor Mecheels.
